The State of Connecticut requires you to receive training in the laws of arrest, search & seizure law, introduction to the criminal justice system and the use of physical force.
You will also be required to receive training in the use of firearms should you decide to carry a handgun during fugitive recovery.
You must have a pistol permit and your own handgun to take the firearms class.
What is not required by the State but I have included in the training for your benefit is an exploration of Bail Enforcement/Bail Bondsman case law.
The instruction you will receive is based on my twenty-five years of experience as a law enforcement officer in the city of New Haven. I have made hundreds of arrests taking into custody dangerous felons, many of whom were armed.
I received thirty-one commendations for exceptional police service including the Medal of Merit for "Valor".
I know how to deal with dangerous felons and other dangerous individuals and I will instruct you accordingly.
